Kim Jong IL . . . AGAIN

My first attempt of sketching Kim Jong went ok, however not really what I had in mind. Structurally, it lacked in form, and was boring, it didn't have a unique quality to it. So over the weekend I did a couple more sketches, this time spending a little more time on them rather than my earlier 15 minute sketch. Hope you enjoy!

hhmm....good thing if he could reach the American coast with a nuke, it is likely only as near as Alaska...or else he'd have one with YOUR name on it if he saw this!!! hahahaa...

what a face...it just invites someone to mess with it doesn't it!

good job...

wow. you make it perfectly clear. Draw things more than one time, and see what you really CAN do. These are awesome, I love that mouth in the top one. :)

Great, it's hard to believe he actually looks like this. I love the way he uses his bouffant hairstyle to make himself look taller. What did you use for the wash on his shirt?

Thanks Dad, Muffin, and Dan . . . I've got an assistant who's main job is to look out my studio window for in coming missles, so I'm somewhat prepared.

Dan, the wash in his shirt is a quick gray that I added after I scanned it in, I just duplicated the layer, deleted the bottom one, chose multiply on the later with my sketch and then on the layer below it I put a spot of gray, takes all but two minutes!
