I'm back . . . with some sketches!

Just got back from my little vacation with my family. I always bring drawing and painting stuff with my wherever I go. Even though there's not much time with a four year old and a 10 month old, I still managed to squeeze in a few sketches. All are graphite on cardstock paper except for the "Muhamawhat" which is prismacolor pens on cardstock and the condi sketch was sketched in photoshop and blocked in with photoshop as well.

Some cool news! I just found out that my Hillary/Obama painting was accepted in this years Society of Illustrators show in Los Angeles.

Wonderful stuff Jason - these are really fabulous! I really love the top drawing with 2 people talking. Out of interest what kind of texture is cardstock paper - as I notice you're managing to get very black / dark marks wth graphite - and it looks great.

Hey Jason.. nice to have had the chance to meet you today in Chicago. Your sketches here are impressive and the Condi one really grabs me. Hillary is also hilarious (pun intended). I recently purchased the Society of Illustrators yearly book and love it and use it as a reference. Glad you have been included into their group. best to you and have a happy thanksgiving....

Thank you all very much! David, yeah, I do enjoy the news and keeping up with these folks, and Bolton does have a great face for caricature!

Had a great time hanging out Bill, we've got to get together again when you come back to Chicago.
